sixonefour labs is a tech training academy based in Ho Chi Minh City and operating across Vietnam and Singapore. As AI systems automate traditional coding tasks, the essential skill of an engineer shifts from writing syntax to directing software: evaluating machine-generated output, architecting resilient systems, and taking end-to-end ownership of product outcomes. Named after the atomic numbers of Carbon (6) and Silicon (14), the academy embodies the handshake between human judgment and machine intelligence. Through its rigorous residency, sixonefour labs deliberately develops product-minded engineers equipped to master AI tooling and deliver real-world impact.

Founder & Program Director

Tingxi is an engineering leader with more than twenty years of experience scaling high-performance technical organisations across Vietnam, the United States, and Canada. As Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of OhmniLabs where he established and led the company's Vietnam engineering team for ten years.

He later served as Director of Software Engineering at NVIDIA, where he contributed to the expansion of the company's Vietnam R&D centre. He holds a BSc. Hon. in Applied Mathematics and an M.Sc. in Computer Science.

Head of Partnership

Son is a Data & AI specialist, community builder, and technology-education leader focused on helping people and organisations turn emerging technology into practical outcomes. His experience spans enterprise AI, including voice and conversational-AI work, as well as technical strategy, solution delivery, and talent development.

He has built communities through Startup Grind (2012-2016), Viet Engineers Stories (2020-2025), and AI Tinkerers since April 2026. As a Codex and ElevenLabs Ambassador, he brings builders, practitioners, and organisations together around hands-on experimentation with AI.

At MaivenPoint, Son serves as Dean and Head of Growth and Strategy, where he helps early-career professionals build relevant technical and career capabilities for a fast-changing technology landscape.

Ken Tuan (Tuan Nguyen Minh) is ex-Tech Academy Manager at NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam, where he led technology training and talent development programmes. A graduate of the National University of Singapore, he has been a long-standing builder of Saigon's tech community, co-organising events like Geeky Weekend as early as 2016 to connect developers and grow a collaborative engineering culture in Vietnam.

He is an advocate for education, workforce development, and diversity in tech, and brings both industry depth and a community-first mindset to his work at sixonefour labs. A community builder and product enthusiast with strong expertise in developer ecosystems, he is focused on developing the next generation of tech talent and new processes for developer experience.

Shane Wong (Shen Nan Wong) is a venture engineer, software engineer, and applied AI builder who works at the intersection of product, automation, and startup execution. At Iterative he designs AI-powered internal tools across deal flow, diligence, portfolio analytics, voice interviews, founder knowledge bases, and memo generation, giving him a practical view of how AI-native teams turn messy business problems into working systems.

Previously he was a Senior Software Engineer at Partior, working on secure DevSecOps and platform infrastructure for cross-border payments, and was co-founder and CTO of ZOLO, a venture-backed AI SaaS startup for food distributors. He has also led product engineering teams at Circles, mentored junior developers, judged hackathons, and built communities around engineering, startups, and AI.

Xuan Nguyen is an engineering leader and career architect with over twenty years of experience scaling teams and unlocking professional potential in the tech industry. He sits at the intersection of technology, people, and strategy, with a track record across engineering leadership, business operations, and technical consulting.

His core conviction is that the greatest barrier to an engineer's success is not technical ability but the absence of a clear, consistent career development framework. He teaches structured frameworks designed to close that gap, across career planning, problem-solving and strategic questioning, communication and constructive feedback, and interviewing from both the candidate's and the interviewer's side. He is Deputy Chair of the Industrial Advisory Board at RMIT University Vietnam and has lectured at Van Lang University and FPT University.

Phuc Nguyen

Technical Architect & Engineering Manager

Phuc Nguyen is a technical architect and engineering manager with over a decade of experience designing scalable systems and driving the transition toward AI-native engineering. Beyond architecture, his focus is capability building and team development.

He is an Agile Coach, president of his company's leadership community, and a regular technical trainer on Clean Code, Azure, and AI application development, specialising in translating complex frameworks into actionable skills. He brings that combination of AI architecture and hands-on mentorship to the lab, guiding engineers to integrate AI innovations with robust software craftsmanship.

Lam Phan

DevSecOps Engineer

Lam Phan is a DevSecOps engineer whose work spans DevOps, platform engineering, and site reliability engineering, building secure and resilient infrastructure at scale. His current focus is bringing security thinking to AI systems, designing security into ML pipelines rather than adding it on afterwards, while keeping AI infrastructure reliable and cost-efficient.

At sixonefour labs he teaches AI Security and Guardrails, and Progressive Delivery and Testing ML Models in Production, combining security-minded engineering with hands-on teaching to help engineers build AI systems that are production-ready.
